Celebrating #AILiteracyDay 2025

On March 28th, we were thrilled to participate in National AI Literacy Day 2025, a critical movement to highlight the importance of understanding and navigating the use of AI by children.

Alongside our partners at Take Two Media Initiative, we joined the National Parents Union for a panel discussion focused on what parents should know about generative AI to keep their kids safe online. During the panel, we heard from youth media ambassador Gemma, who offered insights on how young people are thinking about AI, staying safe while using it, and preparing for a rapidly changing workforce.

Generation Remix’s Teach 5 Digital Wellbeing Challenge materials were also selected by the National AI Literacy Day organization to be part of their resource hub. The Teach 5 Digital Wellbeing Challenge is a gamified classroom competition that helps kids learn about digital literacy and wellbeing, then teach others (family, friends, younger buddies) about it through a teaching challenge. The challenge materials include stories and videos by kids to teach kids about healthy media diets, algorithms, online safety and disinformation. Through the Teach 5 Challenge, youth are elevated as leaders of digital wellbeing in their communities.

National AI Literacy Day is a reminder that we all have a role to play in shaping a future where AI is used ethically and responsibly. We’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this important conversation and to provide resources that empower parents and educators!
